Cover Story: Precipitation knowledge is important for many hydrological studies. Rainfall data may be available with temporal aggregation that varies depending on the technologies used and the procedures followed by the rain gauge station manager. To avoid wrong conclusions, the quantification and characterization of the errors in extreme rainfall conditions caused by coarse temporal aggregation of data, is essential. View this paper.
