Page 5:

Table 1: In the option settings column, some items are incomprehensible.

For example, what does driving experience mean: Is it the number of years a driver has held a driver's license or is it a score from 0 to 10 on how experienced the driver is?

For monthly income lever It is not known what value these numbers represent (are they dollars or CYN??)

 

Page 8:

The conclusion under Fig. 2 is incorrect. In terms of travel distance, passengers on shorter travel distances have greater interest (according Figure 2, b) ) and not in terms of longer travel distances (as stated in the text under Fig. 2)

The conclusion under Fig. 3 is incorrect.

Terms of safety concerns (Fig 3, b) there are mostly neutral responses 24%, very worried (18%), somewhat worried 21%, slightly worried 19% and not worried at all 17%.  The diagram is fairly balanced. Most of them are neutral, and only 3% more are worried than unconcerned.

Therefore, the text under Figure 3 should read "are partly concerned about safety" instead of "are particularly concerned about safety".

In the text:

During their journeys, travelers tend to prefer travel methods that are time-efficient, SAFE, and cost-effective. Moreover, most travelers place great emphasis on the timeliness, affordability, SAFETY, and comfort of carpooling.

From the conclusion from the diagram Fig. 3 b) the question is if most travelers place great emphasis on SAFETY ?????

The text should state that passengers place a slightly greater emphasis on safety or that this emphasis is not so great.

 

Equations: pages  9 – 20.

The equations are incomprehensible:

Sometimes the multiplication sign is x, and sometimes there is no multiplication sign at all. This needs to fix.

There is no explanation of which unit of measurement is used for individual parts of the equations (e.g. for travel time, whether it is minutes or hours), because the SI physical unit for time is the second.

Or for example. In equation 25 on p. 14 for Fuel consumption, which unit is used? l/100 km or l/h. What is the unit for carbon dioxide emissions (tons, kilograms, tons/h ???).

It is not described from which literature the equations are taken. Were all the equations developed by the authors themselves? In chapter 4.3 (page 16) the CRITIC method is described and the equations for this method are given. From which literature did the authors summarize this method and equations? If there is no reference to the literature, does it mean that they developed the CRITIC method themselves?

Page 18:

Improved TOPSIS comprenhezive evaluation model. Is it TOPSIS multi-criteria decision analysis method?  Where is it taken from? Reference to literature???

Page 20:

table 5 What do the symbols 𝛾 , 𝜌 in 𝜔 in the table mean. If these are Time perception weight parameter, Travel expense perception weight parameter and Carpooling combination cost perception weight parameter, this should be written in the table.

 

Page 21:

Table 6: The top row only contains the letters of the coefficients. Write the name of the coefficient next to the letter! For example, 𝜃 is the loss aversion coefficient.

Fig. 6 – It is not explained what CPV value means. CPV=Customer perceived value. In addition to CPV, (Customer perceived value) should be added in brackets in the title of Fig. 5.

This manuscript studies the decision-making analysis and benefit evaluation of carpooling and sharing behavior on bus lanes using cumulative prospect theory. The research is meaningful for improving the efficiency of bus lanes. There are still some comments for improvement:

1.The literature review in the introduction lacks clear organization; please reorganize to enhance readability.

2.Provide detailed descriptions for Figures 1, 2, and 3.

3.Please explain why cumulative prospect theory is suitable for analyzing synthetic decision-making behaviors.

4.Provide the rationale for selecting the nine evaluation indicators when assessing bus operation benefits.

5.In the case study, please specify the exact source of the monthly average wage data for Jiangxi Province.
