This paper proposes a heuristic method to select new members for expanding existing energy communities. The paper is interesting but I have a few comments:
· 1. Please address more recent literature in the same area.
· 2. For all equations please cite adequate literature.
· 3. The computational time of the proposed method and the optimization-based strategy should be presented.
· 4. The proposed method is carried out through two metrics. Which metric do the authors recommend?. The final recommendations of the authors should be given more clearly.
· 5. More insightful conclusions should be provided.
