Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

A very interesting article. I read with interest.

The literature review of the subject is correct.

The methodology is correct.

The conclusions stem from the content and are interesting.

The proposals for future research are appropriate.

The manuscript must be formatted.

I have no other comments.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear authors,

thanks you for this very interesting article. You can find some detailed feedback in the attached PDF document. However, I would like to ask some more generell questions:

  1. What happened to the qualitative approach you mention on page 7? Why is this not included into the result discussion?
  2. Would it be possible to cut some parts of the text? I feel that some information is being repeaded and the text is rather long in total.
  3. Could you please classify the kind of agriculture business you are talking about? to me it feels like the programm encourages small to medium farming? is that right? if so or if not, maybe it would be interesting to critically reflect on this too? maybe the working conditions in agriculture and the payment could play a role why the youth is not interested? Or the conditions of living in rural areas is not attractive to them?

Kind regards!
