Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

Congratulations for the work presented.

The present study is interesting and addresses a theme that is increasingly present in everyday life. There is a certain consensus that the future of societies depends a lot on deepening the principles of the Green Orientation and I see this article as a contribution by the authors to that effect. The article presents several merits and some aspects to improve.

The first aspect that deserves to be improved is the reasoning behind the choice of the object of study by the authors: what makes the Sri Lanka Navy particularly interesting to be chosen for this investigation?

I suggest that the methodology followed be presented in more detail. From the way it is presented, it is not possible to understand how the study was conducted or how it was developed. Additional clarifications to point 3 will be necessary, in order to understand the methodological procedures.

Conclusions are scarce. Authors should place the contributions of this article to theory and practice, as this will make this article more relevant to the reader.

Finally, I call attention to the need to revise the article's formatting, language errors and expressions used in this version of the article, which, in case of publication, need to be revised, reformulated or removed.

Good luck.

The document is new in its theme and approach, however, it shows important areas of opportunity that must be reinforced.

a) The support of the existing gap must be more supported, in addition to what was published by the author himself in another document. That gives it a weak support, being the author himself who argues it. Increase references from other studies.

b) In the same way, the hypotheses are supported with reference to the author, for which the same thing as the previous point is suggested.

c) The instrument used to collect information must be described in the method: its composition of items and/or dimensions, the source(s) of its origin or construction, etc.

d) In the discussions, previous studies should be included to broaden the debate of ideas.

Reviewer 3 Report

The article analyzes the relationship between Green Orientation, Employee Engagement and Employee Job Performance in a sample of Sri-Lanka Navy officers through structural equation models in order to measure the direct and indirect effects of green orientation and employee engagement on Job Performance.

The article is generally quite well written and falls within the journal's areas of interest.
I have some suggestions that I hope will improve the work.

First, I would suggest improving the abstract; it is currently very long and not entirely clear. I would suggest that the authors shorten and simplify the content so that the content of the paper is clearer.

I would suggest that the authors include more details about the questionnaire used. The materials and methods section is rather sparse. It would be helpful to have more information on the variables surveyed, possibly by including the questionnaire in the appendix.

I would suggest expanding a bit on the conclusions, adding some considerations on how employee engagement and green orientation can be encouraged, in general and in the particular context under study analyzed.
