Cover Story: Currently, human interactions are important, and facial attractiveness is one of the most significant aspects of such interactions. The aim of this paper was to determine if asymmetric facial features, nasal and chin deviations affect the perception of attractiveness. From a symmetrical facial model taken, six asymmetrical images were made, with different directions and degrees of inclination of the dental midline. A total of 236 laypersons and 242 dentists completed and rated the online questionnaire of the images. The results showed a significant difference in the perception of attractiveness between laypeople and dentists. The conclusions determined that dentists are more rigorous about dental midline inclinations than laypersons. The perception of attractiveness was affected by the age group and sex of the participants.View this paper - Issues are regarded as officially published after their release is announced to the table of contents alert mailing list .
