Cover Story: Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites show significant potential for use in the global Internet of Things; however, the Doppler effect complicates Long Range (LoRa) uplink connectivity. This work assesses LEO satellite efficiency against Doppler effects using Artificial Intelligence techniques, tracking the Globalstar system and the International Space Station from Australia for 24 h starting 1 January 2024. We model the constellations, calculate latency and frequency offset, and develop a hybrid model to predict the Doppler profiles. The packet delivery exceeds 91% with optimal metadata settings. The model achieves 97.51% accuracy at Signal to Noise Ratios of 0–30 dB. Further research on LoRa Doppler effects and atmospheric factors is recommended.
