Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I have carefully read the revised manuscript from Windheim et al. In my opinion, the revised manuscript has been improved by introducing additional chapter 9. Amyloids, plastics, and the environment. I have one request/suggestion about the chapter's layout. Chapters 7 and 9 focus on the closely related topics and describe them from a similar angle. Chapter 8 address amyloid aggregation from a different point of view. I suggest placing chapter 8 before chapter 7 or after chapter 9, not between them.
I have no further comments for the authors, and I acknowledge the paper for publication.
