Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Cancer immunotherapy has experienced significant advancements in developing natural killer (NK) cell-based vaccines for treating solid tumors. These vaccines utilize the power of the innate immune system to target and eliminate cancer cells, offering a promising option for patients with limited treatment alternatives.

We are excited to announce an upcoming Special Issue dedicated to exploring the latest breakthroughs in NK vaccine research, specifically focusing on their application in solid tumors. We invite original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and expert opinions that examine these innovative treatments' mechanisms of action, efficacy, and safety profiles.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Preclinical studies demonstrate NK vaccines' antitumor effects against various solid tumors.
  • Updates on the current status of ongoing clinical trials, including phase I, II, and III studies.
  • Comparative analyses of different NK vaccine platforms and their performance in clinical settings.
  • Strategies to enhance the efficacy of NK vaccines through combination therapies.
  • Challenges in manufacturing and scaling NK vaccines for widespread clinical use.
  • Insights into the immune response modulation by NK vaccines and their impact on long-term patient outcomes.

Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the progress in this rapidly evolving field, highlighting the potential of NK vaccines to transform the landscape of solid tumor treatment.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Vaccines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
