Dear Colleagues,
The roles of T cells in cancer, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases represent an area of rapidly advancing research, providing crucial insights into immune regulation and disease development. T cells play a key role in regulating immune responses and orchestrating immune reactions through their various subpopulations and adaptable functions. To translate this understanding into therapies, a key strategy is to harness the principles of T cell immunity that is naturally induced by vaccination or infection.
T cell immunity elicited by vaccination or natural infection represents a powerful, yet underexploited, force of the adaptive immune system. The central challenge now lies in actively harnessing this potential to develop effective interventions against a spectrum of debilitating conditions, including cancer and immune-mediated diseases such as autoimmunity and chronic inflammation.
This Special Issue aims to compile cutting-edge research and reviews focused on the strategic exploitation of T cell responses for therapeutic purposes. We invite submissions that move beyond observational studies to explore how T cell activation, specificity, memory, and regulatory functions can be deliberately directed to combat diseases.
We welcome original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that advance our ability to command T cell immunity as a precision tool against diseases.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Vaccines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
