Social Sciences Webinar | Themes of Inclusive Research: Is the Road More or Less Well Travelled? 2nd Edition, 10, 11, 13 November 2026
MDPI is pleased to announce the Social Sciences’ three-part webinar series, “Themes of Inclusive Research: Is the Road More or Less Well Travelled? 2nd Edition”. Social Sciences (ISSN 2076-0760), an open access journal by MDPI, published two Special Issues called “Inclusive Research: Is the Road More or Less Well Travelled?”. The first came out in 2023 and the second in 2026.
In both Special Issues, people with intellectual disabilities said they were “no longer having research done to them” but were “being part of its doing”.
In three webinars, inclusive researchers from around the world will share the key messages of articles from the 2026 Special Issue. The articles were written together with people with intellectual disabilities.
Themes:
- Epistemic justice: respecting the knowledge of people with intellectual disabilities;
- Bridging the gap: growing inclusive research in countries where it is less common;
- Collaboration and co-design: the power of working together;
- New resources and methods: innovative ways of doing inclusive research;
- Expanding the journey: where inclusive research goes next.
