Developments in Antenna Technologies for Sensors and Sensing Applications

Dear Colleagues,

Antennas are crucial components of any wireless communication system as the transducers coupling between signals on a transmission line and an electromagnetic wave in free space. In addition, antenna technologies have been widely used for various sensor and sensing applications. With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the adaptation of the antenna technologies for sensor and sensing applications has become more important. The purpose of this Special Issue is to present the latest developments in antenna technologies for sensor and sensing applications. All researchers in the field are invited to contribute their original and unpublished works. Both research and review papers are welcome.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

• Antenna-based microwave sensors;
• Antenna technologies for chipped and chipless RFID sensor tags or systems;
• Antenna technologies for wireless sensor networks and IoT;
• Antenna technologies for wearable and implantable sensors;
• Antenna technologies for powering passive wireless sensors through energy harvesting and wirelss power transfer;
• Antenna technologies for RADAR sensors;
• Sensor antennas.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
