Interests: medication adherence; health outcomes; substance use disorders; medications in the environment
The problem of environmental contamination with pharmaceuticals is under the radar screen, though efforts at proper disposal of medications and drug take-back days are becoming more prominent. However, it is not enough. We need to educate pharmacists about this issue so that they can take the lead in helping to prevent or minimize medication contamination of the environment. We invite you to share your approaches and successes in educating healthcare professionals and the public the impact of medications in the environment, as well as your research to combat the problem.Prof. Andrew M.
