Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Communication about medicines is an essential part of ensuring a rational use of medicines across healthcare sectors and in patients. Knowledge about why and how to use medicines, and motivation to do so, in a rational manner helps individual patients, but also public health.
In this Special Issue, we welcome all sorts of contributions that deal with communication about medicines. Especially interesting are contributions that help us to understand and overcome barriers and that lead to better use of medicine from an individual, group or society perspective. On an individual level, investigating how communication can become more patient-centered is of special interest.
A couple of years ago, we were guest editors for a Special Issue in Pharmacy on communication in pharmacy practice. The articles published in that issue came from many parts of the world and covered different perspectives of communication in pharmacy practice. We concluded then that research plays an important part in awareness of, and learning about communication in pharmacy practice, but also that more research is needed. This Special Issue can be seen as an extension of the one mentioned above, and we hope to get as many interesting contributions as at that time.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Pharmacy is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
