Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The prevalence of obesity and obesity-related metabolic conditions and diseases, such as metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes, is increasing in pediatric populations. Their etiology is attributed to several factors, including unhealthy nutrition and low physical activity levels. The development and evaluation of new nutritional interventions, including nutrition education; counselling on lifestyle modification; novel foods, supplements, and formulas; and policies and other approaches targeted toward children and their family, school, or community are essential in the prevention and treatment of obesity and the improvement of children’s metabolic health.

This Special Issue, “Nutritional Strategies in Pediatric Obesity and Metabolic Health”, will showcase articles focusing on the development, implementation, or evaluation of novel nutrition interventions (nutrition education or counselling, foods, formulas, supplements, etc.) aiming to prevent or treat obesity and obesity-related metabolic conditions and diseases in pediatric populations.
