Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Among the various elegant approaches to promote organic transformations involving radical species, photoredox catalysis is now considered as a cutting-edge approach. By using light and mild conditions, a huge number of challenging reactions are now accessible. The aim of this Special Issue is to illustrate recent advances on useful photoinduced reactions with photoredox catalysts. Contributions will focus on a broad range of organic reactions driven by effective photoredox catalysts and their potential applications in a large panorama of scientific domains.

Manuscript Submission Information

Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Heterogenization of the photocatalyst appears to be a valuable solution to reach sustainable processes. Rapid and efficient synthesis of supported photocatalyst is still a remaining challenge and the choice of the support material is crucial. The present study aims at preparing a new generation of hybrid inorganic/organic photocatalysts based on silica mesoporous material and Eosin Y. These results highlight the influence of non-covalent interactions between the material support and the reagent impacting the selectivity of the reaction. Full article
