Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Electrochemical sensors are used to address challenging issues in environmental monitoring, healthcare, food and the sustainable use of manifold resources. New sensors have the potential to become highly sensitive, portable, and efficient due to the significant development of novel materials, such as nanomaterials, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), graphene, and conductive polymers. Increasingly, these systems are being combined with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and wearable platforms, as well as lab-on-a-chip architectures, enabling more efficient, real-time, and on-site analysis.
We invite authors to contribute to this Special Issue with research or review articles having topics related to innovative materials, sustainable devices, and state-of-the-art applications. Particular attention will be given to fundamental and application studies that facilitate sustainability and scalable technologies.
Thus, this Special Issue emphasizes the importance of electrochemical sensors as key tools for reliable and resource-efficient analytical technologies.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
