Dear Colleagues,
The field of this Special Issue includes medicinal and aromatic plants. The main research content focuses on the chemical composition of medicinal and aromatic plants and includes both classical and modern analytical and instrumental methods of analysis (such as gravimetry, volumetry, UV–Visible spectrophotometry, High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, and similar) as well as in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacological activity (antioxidant, antimicrobial, antienzymatic, anticancer, biorepelent, and a plethora of other bioactivities). We encourage researchers to publish their work related to digestion, absorption, and metabolism of different classes of organic molecules that are constituents of plants, as well as studies on plant nutrition, metabolic diseases, and toxicities. Research dedicated to molecular docking approaches and computational simulations of plant constituents, as well as novel drugs/therapeutics with health benefits, is also welcome. Extracts, essential oils, teas and tea residues, infusions, raw materials, and bioproducts from the plant industry are the forms suitable for this Special Issue.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Metabolites is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
