Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Reproductive surgery remains a central component of modern fertility care and reproductive health, offering both diagnostic and therapeutic benefits for individuals and couples seeking to conceive or preserve fertility. Despite advances in assisted reproductive technologies, surgery continues to play a critical role in the management of complex gynecology and andrological conditions that impair reproductive potential. The field is undergoing rapid transformation. Minimally invasive techniques—including advanced laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and robot-assisted surgery—have improved precision, reduced morbidity, and expanded fertility-sparing options for conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, tubal disease, intrauterine adhesions, and congenital uterine anomalies. At the same time, refinements in microsurgical reconstruction, ovarian tissue preservation, and uterine-sparing procedures are redefining what is possible in restoring natural reproductive function. These innovations demand updated clinical guidance on patient selection, timing, and integration with medically assisted reproduction. However, the pace of innovation also underscores the need for ongoing, high-quality clinical research. This Special Issue, “Advances in Reproductive Surgeries”, will bring together original research, surgical techniques, and comprehensive reviews that highlight current practice standards, emerging technologies, perioperative optimization, and long-term reproductive outcomes. Topics of interest include fertility-preserving surgery, complication prevention, training and standardization, and ethical and accessibility considerations in advanced reproductive procedures.
