Time Series Forecasting for Green Finance and Sustainable Economics
This special issue belongs to the section “E5: Financial Mathematics“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The global transition toward a sustainable economy necessitates robust forecasting tools to navigate the unique risks and opportunities in green finance. This Special Issue seeks cutting-edge research on time series forecasting methodologies and their application to this critical domain. We encourage submissions that develop novel econometric, machine learning, or hybrid models to predict key variables and risks within green financial markets and sustainable economic systems.
A key focus of this Issue is understanding the interconnectedness and transmission of risk across markets. We particularly welcome contributions that investigate volatility spillovers in green financial markets and sustainable assets, such as carbon markets, renewable energy stocks, conventional energy indices, and green bonds. Other topics include forecasting ESG performance, green bond yields, carbon credit prices, and the impact of climate policy on financial stability.
This Special Issue aims to serve as a central reference for scholars and practitioners developing advanced predictive frameworks for a sustainable financial future.
