Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide, yet remarkable progress in diagnostic imaging, biomarker discovery, and computational medicine is reshaping how clinicians identify, stratify, and monitor cardiovascular risk. This Special Issue will highlight emerging advances in diagnostic strategies to enhance early detection, refine prognostic assessment, and support personalized clinical decision making across the full spectrum of cardiovascular conditions.
The landscape of cardiovascular diagnostics is evolving rapidly. Novel applications of cardiac CT, MRI, and hybrid imaging now permit multiparametric assessment of coronary, myocardial, and vascular pathology in a single session, improving both accuracy and efficiency. Ultrasound-based technologies continue to expand through three-dimensional reconstruction, strain imaging, and tissue characterization, offering non-invasive tools for detecting subclinical disease.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are further transforming cardiovascular diagnostics, from enhanced image reconstruction to the automated detection of complex patterns that are not visible to the human eye. In parallel, digital health technologies, wearable sensors, and home monitoring systems have the potential to move continuous and dynamic cardiovascular assessments beyond clinical settings.
For this Special Issue, we welcome original research articles, reviews, and technical reports addressing these themes, with the goal of providing clinicians and researchers with an up-to-date overview of current advances and future directions in cardiovascular diagnostic management. Contributions focusing on interdisciplinary approaches and real-world clinical applications are particularly encouraged.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Life is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
