Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Autonomous vehicles represent the future of transportation. Current vehicles include driver assistance systems and limited-conditions self-driving vehicles. Future vehicles aim to be able to operate autonomously in all weather conditions on every type of road. Like any cyber-physical system, security is a key concern. With autonomous vehicles, security breaches can cause immediate injury or even death to vehicle passengers and others.

This Special Issue of Journal of Cybersecurity and Privacy explores the security of autonomous vehicles. Articles related to securing, evaluating the security of and attacking the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, other bus technologies, connected systems and autonomous vehicles in general are invited. Papers related to vehicle intercommunications, including vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to/from infrastructure should also be submitted to this special issue. Additionally of interest are papers related to supporting systems and their design, development, testing and operations. Articles considering legal, ethical and similar concerns are also welcome.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
