Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Sports injuries remain a major challenge for athletes, coaches and medical professionals, with significant implications for performance, career longevity and overall well-being. This Special Issue will focus on emerging trends in injury risk mitigation, rehabilitation and return to sport, emphasizing multifactorial and multidisciplinary approaches that integrate clinical advances in therapeutic and exercise-based interventions.
Ranging from acute trauma to chronic overuse conditions, sports-related injuries require coordinated efforts to advance understanding and improve prevention and management strategies. Effective rehabilitation and successful return to sport depend on individualized, sport-specific programs that address the physical, physiological and psychological demands of sport, thereby minimizing the risk of reinjury.
This Special Issue will bring together cutting-edge research on injury risk mitigation, clinical management, rehabilitation and return to sport across different levels of competition and athletic disciplines. Contributions from an international community of researchers and clinicians will help advance best practices in sports injury care and performance restoration. We welcome submissions on this topic and invite you to contribute to the growing body of knowledge in this important field.
