Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the new Special Issue of the Journal of Clinical Medicine, entitled “Current and Emerging Treatment Options in Intestinal and Stomach Neoplasms”.
Based on the World Health Organization (WHO), gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies are responsible for one in four cancer cases, with 4.8 million cancer cases globally and one in three leading to global deaths. Even though gastric malignancy rates have decreased, colorectal cancer incidence has increased in countries with past low-incidence rates. Both primary and secondary prevention remain crucial. Thus, advancements in early treatment and management are essential for the improvement of outcomes in patients with GI malignancies.
The scope of this issue will include research on new advancements in therapeutic options for intestinal and stomach neoplasms that will bring light to the current challenges faced by physicians. We are particularly interested in papers that bring innovative and groundbreaking information, enrich existing knowledge, highlight important issues, and report new findings to the scientific and medical world.
