Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Women’s health research is essential for improving women’s health outcomes by addressing sex and gender differences in disease representation, treatment response, and overall well-being. Understanding these differences is vital for personalized medicine and ensuring that research findings are applicable to all individuals. A comprehensive approach to women’s health considers not only reproductive health and chronic diseases but also mental health, lifestyle factors, and the influence of social and economic conditions. With the latest impact of artificial intelligence in medicine, it is important to leverage these tools using data-driven approaches for prognosing, diagnosing, and treatment monitoring for various women’s health conditions that include reproductive health ( (e.g., pregnancy, contraception, menopause), heart disease, mental health (anxiety, depression), breast health, breast, cervical, colorectal, skin, and ovarian cancers, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Other important areas are osteoporosis, urinary tract infections, and, more importantly, access to healthcare that can ensure access to affordable and quality healthcare services that are crucial for women's health.

We solicit original articles and review papers that cover any of these topics utilizing artificial intelligence to accelerate our understanding of these diseased conditions to improve the outcomes for women’s health.
