Perioperative Management in Thoracic Surgery: Current Advances and Future Perspectives
This special issue belongs to the section “Respiratory Medicine“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
With the advancement of pathophysiological knowledge and technological evolution, the multidisciplinary approach to patients of interest in thoracic surgery has gained significant importance in clinical practice. This Special Issue aims to explore and analyze current achievements in the diagnostic and surgical fields concerning thoracic diseases, with a particular focus on lung cancer. We welcome contributions on a variety of topics, ranging from improvements in interventional techniques for lung cancer diagnosis and the preoperative optimization of surgical patients to the impact of minimally invasive surgical techniques on surgical outcomes. In particular, this Special Issue seeks to collect studies that align with the principles of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) in thoracic surgery, with the goal of improving and disseminating knowledge of this perioperative approach while also laying the groundwork for potential new protocols. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
