The field of eye diseases continues to evolve rapidly, with groundbreaking advances being made in diagnostics, imaging, and therapeutics. From innovative pharmacologic approaches to cutting-edge surgical techniques, the contemporary management of ocular pathologies requires the integration of multiple disciplines and technologies. This Special Issue, “Current Concepts and Updates in Eye Diseases”, aims to highlight the most significant developments transforming our understanding and treatment of vision-threatening conditions.
We invite contributions addressing
- Novel diagnostic modalities;
- Advances in medical therapy;
- Surgical innovations;
- Emerging concepts;
- Translational research.
This collection will provide a comprehensive update on managing complex intraocular diseases, including corneal diseases, glaucoma, cataract, retinal disorders, uveitis, and ocular oncology. We particularly welcome studies on personalized medicine approaches, treatment optimization strategies, and global perspectives on disease management.
By bringing together cutting-edge research and clinical insights, this Special Issue seeks to advance evidence-based practice and inspire future innovations in ophthalmic care. Original research articles, systematic reviews, and expert perspectives are all encouraged to contribute to this important dialogue.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
