We are pleased to introduce this Special Issue on "Hysterectomy Surgery—Recent Developments and Emerging Trends" in the Journal of Clinical Medicine. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary overview of recent advances in hysterectomy procedures, with an emphasis on improving surgical outcomes, perioperative management, patient care, healthcare economics, and complication management. The Special Issue will cover a range of topics, from the latest innovations in minimally invasive surgical techniques and robotic advancements to the traditional yet continually evolving vaginal approach.
We invite the submission of original research articles, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, clinical studies, and case series related to the following topics:
- Innovations in minimally invasive hysterectomy techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches
- Advances and updates in vaginal hysterectomy
- Perioperative management strategies and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols
- Evaluation of patient-centered outcomes and quality of life following hysterectomy
- Training and education in modern hysterectomy techniques
- Integration of new technologies, such as augmented reality or artificial intelligence, into surgical practice
- Economic considerations and cost-effectiveness of different hysterectomy approaches
