Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue aims to explore the latest therapeutic approaches for managing persistent atrial fibrillation (AF), with particular emphasis on catheter-based and surgical interventions. It also highlights emerging technologies, including advanced mapping and imaging techniques, which enhance the assessment and treatment of AF by improving patient selection and procedural precision. Further focus is given to the management of patients with coexisting conditions, such as heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and other significant comorbidities, which often complicate AF treatment. The issue includes a comprehensive review of global clinical outcomes and regional variations in the management of AF. In addition, the issue addresses important aspects of training for healthcare professionals and considerations for the effective delivery of care, aiming to support high standards and consistency in AF treatment worldwide.
