Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue, “New Perspectives on Food Waste and Recycling Systems”, aims to explore the innovative strategies, technologies, and policies that address the growing global challenge of food waste. It will highlight interdisciplinary research on waste reduction, sustainable processing, circular economy approaches, and resource recovery from food by-products. Contributions may examine recent advancements in recycling systems, the valorization of organic waste, and the development of eco-friendly materials, energy, and bio-based products. We also seek insights into behavioral, economic, and policy-driven solutions that promote responsible consumption and efficient waste management across the food supply chain. By integrating scientific, technological, and societal perspectives, this Special Issue will provide practical solutions and forward-looking frameworks that support sustainability, reduce environmental impacts, and enhance food system resilience.
