Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

While concerns about health increase worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, interest in healthy foods is naturally growing simultaneously. Nutraceuticals are functional foods or dietary supplements that provide both nutritional and health benefits. A nutraceutical can be consumed as a preventative measure by individuals concerned about future health, or by those who wish to manage their current health.

Immunity is activated as a defence against invading pathogens, but an excessive immune response causes inflammation, and chronic inflammation causes cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, derived from arteriosclerosis. Therefore, in this Special Issue, research on nutraceuticals that can prevent inflammatory diseases will be presented. We welcome manuscript proposals for research surrounding preventable skin inflammation, respiratory diseases, hypersensitivity immune reactions, and vascular diseases, while including vivo results. In addition, it is expected that research on the working principles of nutraceuticals will be included. We welcome your contributions, with the intention that recent, high-quality research results can be shared.
