Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Urological diseases encompass a wide range of conditions affecting the multi-organ system. The management of patients who are in critical condition is of upmost importance. Quality of life is significantly reduced by urological diseases, particularly when they are discovered late, and there are often few opportunities for better outcomes available. The early diagnosis of these diseases is essential, as doing so helps avoid progression to advanced phases frequently seen in hospitals. Biomarkers, which are measurable indicators of biological states or conditions, play a crucial role in the management of urological diseases. Early detection and accurate diagnosis can be a strong contributor to effective treatment and improved patient outcomes. In research today, focus is on proteins, as these are the primary structural and functional components of cells and, most importantly, offer significant possibilities to monitor diseases at the molecular level. Proteomic profile alterations are essential for the expression of molecular pathways and disease pathogenesis. Recent developments in highly sensitive and innovative technology have enabled the more precise clinical assessment of complex biological samples, opening new paths of broader biomarker applications for improved risk stratification, better and more cost-effective medical care for ill patients, and advanced personalized medicine. This Special Issue of Diagnostics will be devoted to the latest development of up-to-date studies and findings in the area of urological diseases that can be translated into clinical practice for prospective patient management.
We invite scientists to submit articles presenting new achievements in urological diseases. We look forward to receiving your submissions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
