2020 The inaugural issue was released. Dairy was published as a quarterly journal.
Dairy established the following sections:

  • Dairy Small Ruminants.
2022 Dairy established the following sections:
  • Milk and Human Health;
  • Reproduction;
  • Dairy Farm System and Management;
  • Dairy Microbiota.
2023 Dairy was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
Dairy received its first CiteScore (2022) of 2.4.
2024 Dairy was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
Dairy received its CiteScore (2023) of 4.4, ranked 38/193 (Q1) in "Agricultural and Biological Sciences (miscellaneous)" and 9/35 (Q1) in "Veterinary (miscellaneous)".
