AO CMF is a clinical division of the AO Foundation and a global leader in innovative education and research in craniomaxillofacial care. It empowers the academic community and fosters lifelong learning to improve patient outcomes. AO CMF's worldwide network is made up of over 50,000 craniomaxillofacial professionals from various specialties, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, and general surgery, along with researchers and educators.

Each year, AO CMF delivers outstanding surgical education through more than 100 events, engaging over 6,600 participants globally. As the leading global academic community for CMF surgeons, AO CMF also publishes the Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction open access journal and hosts the Face Ahead Summit, designed to facilitate networking and knowledge exchange in a relaxed and interactive environment.
