Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 5th International Electronic Conference on Cancers (IECC 2026), which will be held from 10 to 12 June 2026. This electronic conference will be held online at sciforum.net, a platform developed and maintained by MDPI for hosting conferences. It will enable scientists from all over the world to present their latest research on cancer, receive direct feedback, and engage in discussions with the wider scientific community.

This conference aims to bring together researchers and experts from a wide range of basic to clinical fields of cancer research, academia, and biotech companies to discuss state-of-the-art findings and developments in cancer research, as well as the application of therapeutic strategies to explore further stages.

This year’s conference includes sessions on the following:

Session 1. Cancer Stem Cells.

Session 2. Tumor Heterogeneity.

Session 3. Drug Resistance and Anti-Cancer Drug Development and Screening.

Session 4. Cancer Survivorship and Quality of Life.

Session 5. Causes, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Cancer.

Session 6. Patterns and Treatment Considerations of Childhood Cancer.

Session 7. Novel Methods and Technologies for Research and Treatment.

The IECC 2026 will be an online-only proceeding, which enables researchers to participate from all over the world with no requirement for travel or related expenditures. An electronic conference provides a platform for rapid and direct exchanges regarding the latest research findings and novel ideas.

We are committed to equality and inclusion principles. Therefore, we ask authors to ensure that the papers and presentations are highly accessible to the wider and more diverse scientific community. We encourage submissions from scientists at all career stages and backgrounds and aim for an equal gender balance.

This Special Issue is open to all researchers, regardless of whether they are presenting at the conference. Participants in this conference are cordially invited to contribute a full manuscript to this Special Issue published in Cancers (ISSN: 2072-6694, IF 4.4), with a 20% discount on the publication fee. Please note that no other discounts are applicable. All submitted papers will undergo MDPI’s standard peer-review procedure. The abstracts should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper. We look forward to receiving your contributions to this scientific event and would like to thank you in advance for your active support.

Kind regards,

Prof. Dr. Masaharu Seno
Guest Editor

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
