Special Issue Information
Dear Collleagues,
Salivary gland tumors (SGTs), encompassing both benign and malignant forms, present unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to their rarity, histological diversity, and complex anatomical location. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in the management of SGCs, spanning cutting-edge diagnostic imaging techniques, molecular insights, and innovative treatment approaches.
This Special Issue aims to explore the role of advanced imaging modalities, such as MRI, CT, and PET scans, in enhancing diagnostic accuracy, staging, and treatment planning. Particular focus will be given to the integration of artificial intelligence in image analysis and the identification of novel biomarkers for improved prognosis.
In addition, contributions are welcome to delve into the molecular underpinnings of SGCs, examining genetic and epigenetic alterations that pave the way for personalized medicine. In this Special Issue, we also aim to highlight the progress made in surgical techniques, including minimally invasive approaches, and the use of reconstructive surgery to optimize patient outcomes. Emerging therapies, such as targeted treatments, immunotherapy, and advancements in radiation oncology, are also likely to be key topics.
This Special Issue aims to collate multidisciplinary perspectives from oncology, radiology, surgery, pathology, and molecular biology to address the complexities of SGCs. By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, this collection aims to advance our understanding and the management of salivary gland cancers, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2900 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
