Dear Colleagues,
Uterine and ovarian cancers continue to pose major clinical challenges, but recent years have ushered in unprecedented progress in the molecular characterization and targeted treatment of these malignancies. Nowhere has this been more transformative than in endometrial cancer, where the integration of molecular classification (TCGA/ProMisE) has reshaped risk stratification and therapeutic decision-making. The emergence of immune checkpoint inhibitors for dMMR/MSI-H tumors, novel HER2-directed therapies for serous subtypes, and expanding combinations of endocrine agents with CDK4/6 inhibitors illustrate the rapid clinical translation of molecular discoveries. At the same time, ovarian cancer research continues to deepen our understanding of PARP inhibitor resistance, DNA repair biology, and tumor-microenvironment interactions, driving next-generation therapeutic strategies. Together, these advances highlight an urgent need to integrate molecular insights into precision therapy.
This Special Issue, “Molecular Therapy Targets of Uterine and Ovarian Cancer,” aims to capture this fast-moving landscape by gathering studies that identify, validate, or therapeutically exploit actionable molecular features of gynecologic tumors. In line with the journal’s scope, we seek original research and reviews that illuminate mechanisms of tumor progression, therapeutic resistance, immunologic vulnerability, or novel druggable pathways. By assembling at least ten high-quality contributions, this Special Issue will offer a cohesive, clinically relevant overview of the evolving molecular toolkit that is reshaping treatment paradigms.
In this Special Issue, submissions may address—among others—the following areas: molecular biomarkers guiding immunotherapy; HER2 and other receptor-targeted therapies; genomic and epigenomic mechanisms of drug resistance; multi-omics approaches; novel antibody-drug conjugates; tumor microenvironment and immunomodulation; synthetic lethality strategies; and innovative delivery systems for targeted therapeutics.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
