Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
People's career choices are not necessarily merely the unfolding of normative experiences. Rather, trauma and aversity experienced throughout childhood also affect developmental trajectories and career choices. For this Special Issue, we welcome original research, disciplinary reviews, conceptual and theoretical work, applied research, translational research, program developments, or curriculum developments that focus on trauma and its influence on career decision making and vocational behavior. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, childhood trauma and career choices, human behaviors related to career choices and lived experiences of trauma, trauma-informed career counseling, and professional training and supervision. By exploring these areas, this Special Issue will advance the literature on trauma and its influence on career choices and vocational behavior from a diverse range of perspectives. We welcome theoretical and/or empirical contributions that will broaden our knowledge on this topic.
