Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of Applied Sciences, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Applied Sciences Travel Award in Energy 2020.

It has been granted to Dr. Alfonso González Briones, who holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Salamanca.

It was a difficult decision with such high-quality applications for the awards, and we would like to thank all applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. On behalf of the assessment committee, I congratulate the winner for his accomplishments. We are proud to support this young scientist and wish him further success in his career.
