A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

On March 26, 2024, the IJGI Managing Editor Helen Hong and Office Editorial Director (Nanjing) May Zheng visited the Editorial Board Member, Prof. Dr. Jiangfeng She and his graduate team at Nanjing University.
ISPRS TC I Symposium on Intelligent Sensing and Remote Sensing Application Closes Successfully in Changsha
The 2024 Symposium of the ISPRS TC I was held in Changsha, China from 13 to 17 May 2024, with the theme of “Intelligent Sensing and Remote Sensing Application”. During the week-long event, MDPI had a dedicated exhibition booth, showcasing its diverse range of journals and unique publishing characteristics. Our representatives actively participated in various conference activities, engaging in in-depth exchanges and discussions with scholars from around the world.
