We are pleased to announce that, starting from September 2019, the editorial leadership of Algorithms (ISSN 1999-4893; CODEN: ALGOCH) has been taken over by Professor Frank Werner, who is an extraordinary Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany.
Professor Frank Werner studied Mathematics from 1975 to 1980 and graduated from the Technical University Magdeburg with honors. He currently works as an extraordinary professor at the Faculty of Mathematics of the Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg (Germany). He is the editor of one monograph and author of three books as well as of more than 250 publications in international journals. He was a member of the Program Committee of more than 70 international conferences. His research interests are Operations Research, Combinatorial Optimization, and Scheduling.
We warmly welcome Professor Frank Werner as our Editor-in-Chief and look forward to his valuable input for the continued success of Algorithms. We would also like to take the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the previous Editor-in-Chief, Professor Henning Fernau, for his invaluable contributions to the journal.
