Prof. Dr. Binshan Lin Appointed Associate Editor of Analytics


We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Binshan Lin has been appointed as the Associate Editor of Analytics (ISSN: 2813-2203). 

Prof. Dr. Binshan Lin is the BellSouth Endowed Professor at the College of Business at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS). He received his PhD from Louisiana State University, USA, in 1988. Currently, he serves as Director of Research at the College of Business at LSUS. 

Prof. Dr. Lin is a nine-time recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award at LSUS and the recipient of the LSUS Provost’s Award in 2022. He received the Computer Educator of the Year award from the International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS) in 2005, Ben Bauman Award for Excellence in IACIS in 2003, IACIS Directors’ Award in 2012, Distinguished Service Award at the Southwest Decision Sciences Institute (SWDSI) in 2007, Outstanding Educator Award at the SWDSI in 2004, and Emerald Literati Club Awards for Excellence in 2003. 

Prof. Dr. Lin has published over 300 research articles in referred journals, with an h-index of 55 and more than 10,050 citations. His research interests include business intelligence, data analytics, decision sciences, informatics, machine learning, and operations management.

He served as President of SEDSI (2023–2024), Program Chair of IACIS Pacific 2005 Conference, Program Chair of Management International Conference (MIC) 2006, and General Chair of MIC Conference (2007 and 2008). In addition, Dr. Lin served as Program Chair of Technology Innovation and Industrial Management (TIIM) International Conference 2009, Conference Director of TIIM Conference (2010–2016, 2020), and Conference Director of MakeLearn International Conference (2012–2016, 2020). Dr. Lin also served as a vice president (2007–2009; 2010–2012) of Decision Sciences Institute (DSI).
