MDPI Open Science Insights: Scientific Publishing Workshop at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), 26 June 2025

 

MDPI is excited to collaborate with the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain, to host an exclusive scientific publishing workshop aimed at empowering researchers with the knowledge and tools needed for a successful scientific publishing exchange. This workshop will cover the key aspects of MDPI’s open access publishing model, including editorial workflow, publication ethics, and the role of artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing. Participants will receive practical tips on improving their scientific writing and addressing reviewer comments, guided by experienced editors.

Speaker:

Dr. Enric Sayas holds a Ph.D. in biotechnology from the Universitat Politècnica de València. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in Geneva, he joined MDPI in 2016, gaining extensive experience in editorial processes and later serving as Office Director of MDPI Barcelona. Now, as a Business Analyst for MDPI’s AI team, he combines his editorial expertise with his passion for Artificial Intelligence. He works closely with the technical team to develop and implement AI-driven solutions tailored to editorial needs, enhancing efficiency and decision-making in scientific publishing.

Dr. Sayas is passionate about fostering transparency and innovation in scholarly publishing, with a strong focus on open access and the ethical use of AI. He enjoys building systems that make scientific communication more accessible, efficient, and fair.
