Medicina | Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Meeting Held on 2 April 2025


On 2nd April 2025, Medicina (ISSN: 1648-9144) held its Editorial Board meeting, chaired by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Edgaras Stankevičius. 7 Editorial Board Members and 2 JRSs attended this meeting.  The meeting was organized on the occasion of Author Training—MDPI Open Science Insights: Scientific Publishing Exchange at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) held on 3rd April 2025.

We are extremely grateful for the strong support of our Editorial Board Members and for the opportunity to have a face-to-face meeting to discuss the development of Medicina. We sincerely hope that more Editorial Board Members can attend future meetings.

The meeting began with a presentation including an introduction to Medicina, a summary of the Editorial Board Membership, journal statistics, and market activities.

The following topics were discussed:

  • Quality of Submissions: How can this be improved?;
  • Number of Submissions: How can we attract more high-quality papers?;
  • Inactive EBMs: How can we activate them more?;
  • New EBMs: Any recommendations?;
  • Journal’s exposure and academic reputation: how to improve it?;
  • Experience working with Medicina—Ideas and Suggestions.
