The journal retracts the article entitled “Panchromatic Copper Complexes for Visible Light Photopolymerization” [1], cited above.
Following publication, the authors contacted the Editorial Office regarding scientific errors in relation to a mismatch between the chemical structure of the copper complexes and the UV–visible absorption spectra of these complexes. It was discovered that a mistake was made during the labeling of the vials containing the copper complexes, which then led to uncertainty regarding the findings presented in this study [1].
Following discussions between the Editorial Board and the authors, it was determined that these findings could not be reproduced and, as result, the central findings could no longer be considered valid. The Editorial Board and the authors have decided to retract this paper as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Photochem.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
