Abstract

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a key component of the digital transformation of the construction industry. The government of Bulgaria has accepted a National Strategy for The Digital Transformation of the Construction Industry which defines a set of goals and measures to achieve these goals. In this paper, we examine the goals and measures of the strategy related to adoption of BIM in the government sector and purpose a model for the adoption, emphasizing the use of existing standards and open-source solutions.
