The 14th International Scientific Conference TechSys 2025—Engineering, Technologies and Systems was organized by the Technical University of Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, within the frame of “Science Days of Technical University of Sofia” and supported by the University Scientific and Research Sector. The conference was held on 15–17 May 2025 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Over the years, the TechSys conference has been recognized as a leader in forums dedicated to technical science and engineering. It has become a dedicated space for meetings between leading researchers, young scientists and representatives of leading companies in the industry. The primary goal of TechSys is to bring together individuals from academia and industry, scientists, and experts in engineering and technology to share their ideas and innovations. As a result, 66 selected articles that represent the significant results of the conference have been published in this volume.
The conference program included six thematic sessions:
  • Automation, Control Systems and Robotics
  • Electrical Engineering and Electronics
  • Computer Engineering, Informatics and Communications
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Automotive and Aeronautical Engineering
  • Materials Science
During the three days of the conference, almost 150 researchers met to exchange ideas and establish networks for future research and collaborations.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Ing. Miroslav Zetek, PhD from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic, for his challenging plenary lecture on “Metal AM in Tool Optimization”.
We would like to thank all the authors who contributed to the conference and all the researchers who recognized TechSys as an appropriate forum for sharing their recent developments and learning about the latest trends in the technical sciences and engineering field.
We also thank all the reviewers and topic editors for their quiet but very important work, which ensured excellent feedback from the authors and high-quality scientific research. TechSys reviewers’ work is noted and respected thanks to the contract with the Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service.
Last, but not least, we sincerely thank the entire team involved in organizing the TechSys 2025 conference.
