Cover Story: A newly designed iron metal doped sludge biochar carbon (Fe-SBC) has shown effective adsorption for arsenic removal from farm groundwater. To understand the adsorption mechanism of arsenic on Fe-SBC surfaces modified with iron hydroxide complexes, a study was carried out using Density Functional Theory. Additionally, the desorbed arsenic byproduct can be made into various products, such as pigments.
