Cover Story: A newly designed iron metal doped sludge biochar carbon (Fe-SBC) has shown effective adsorption for arsenic removal from farm groundwater. To understand the adsorption mechanism of arsenic on Fe-SBC surfaces modified with iron hydroxide complexes, a study was carried out using Density Functional Theory. Additionally, the desorbed arsenic byproduct can be made into various products, such as pigments. Therefore, four different colors of pigments were obtained through four different preparation methods, including green pigments, blue pigments, gray pigments and orange pigments. View this paper
