Cover Story: This paper explores innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to climate change, emphasizing the political economy of green transition, technological advancements, and the role of "science citizens". It argues for a combined top-down (macro-policy) and bottom-up (citizen involvement) strategy to complement existing measures. The analysis highlights the need for stronger macroeconomic approaches and integrating science citizens into technology and policy frameworks. Findings suggest a policy focus on technology development over diffusion and the inclusion of small-scale actors. This paper calls for a holistic approach to sustainability, innovation, and the climate crisis. View this paper
